Lampunut coal mine

{{#badges:CoalSwarm}}The Lampunut coal mine is a mine proposed to be developed by Maruwai Coal Project, a joint venture between BHP Billiton (75%) and Adaro Indonesia (25%) in Kalimantan in Indonesia.

In an April 2010 media release announcing the joint venture, BHP Billiton stated that the Lampunut deposit would be an open-cut mine with a total resource of 120 million tonnes of coal of which 11 million tonnes is metallurgical coal and the remainder thermal coal.[1]
