Lisa Hajjar

Lisa Hajjar "is a sociologist who is a professor of law and society at University California, Santa Barbara. Her expertise includes the contemporary Middle East and issues relating to human rights and humanitarian law (i.e. laws of war, and particularly the Geneva Conventions). Also strong expertise on Israel/Palestine, namely on Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, and the politics of law in that region.

"Hajjar was also an editorial assistant and writer at MERIP, Washington DC. She is a member of the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Palestine Studies." [1]
