Lisa Schirch

Lisa Schirch "is an associate professor of peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University. A former Fulbright Fellow, Schirch has worked with communities and government leaders to build peace and security in Lebanon, Iraq, Taiwan, Ghana, Kenya, Brazil, and other countries.

"She specializes in building peace and security through development and diplomacy and is the director of the 3D Security Initiative at www.3Dsecurity.org. She is the author of 5 books on peacebuilding and conflict prevention: Dialogue on Difficult Subjects, Ritual and Symbol in Peacebuilding, Strategic Peacebuilding, Civilian Peacekeeping: Reducing Violence and Making Space for Democracy, and Women in Peacebuilding Training Manual.

"She holds a B.A. in International Relations, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University." [1]
