Biographical Information

"Mr. Loay Hisham Nazer is the Founder and Chairman of Nazer Group Ltd. Mr. Nazer is an Executive Partner at Malaz Capital. Mr. Nazer started and continues to lead the numerous companies that comprise The Nazer Group, operating in the Middle East, the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has been the Chairman of BUPA Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Company since 1997. He serves as the Chairman of Oryx Capital International Inc. He serves as a Board Member of the Saudi Cooperative Council for Health Insurance. Mr. Nazer also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Jordan Foundation for Education, which is chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdallah. In 2001, Mr. Nazer was named as a Board Member of the Jeddah Marketing Board. Mr. Nazer served as the Chairman of the International Board of Directors of the Young President Organization from 2006 to 2007. From 1995 to 1998, he was a Board Member of the Harvard Institute for Social and Economic Policy Board in the Middle East. In June 2005, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Goodwin College in Connecticut, USA. Mr. Nazer earned a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1987 and an M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA in 1989." [1]
