"Margaret Casely-Hayford was appointed Chair of the charity Action Aid UK in 2014 prior to which she was for nine years, Director of Legal Services and Company Secretary for the John Lewis Partnership, following a twenty year career with City solicitors Dentons where she had been a partner. She read law at Oxford University.

"She is also on the Metropolitan Police Panel that is overseeing the police investigation into police corruption. Whilst at John Lewis, she was for a number of years their representative on the Board of the British Retail Consortium; and during her time at Dentons, she was a government appointed special trustee of Great Ormond St Children’s Hospital Charity from 2000 to 2008 and over the same period was also a government appointed trustee of the Geffrye Museum."[1]
