In 2013 Martin Barrow, The Times’ former news editor, joined Maitland as a partner. "Barrow has previously spent 24 years at The Times in a 30-year journalism career. As well as being news editor for three years, he was previously foreign news editor and business news editor and was health editor from 2011 until he left the paper earlier this year." [1]

"He is also a media ambassador for the Centre for Mental Health, and works with Business in the Community and Public Health England in supporting mental health and wellbeing at work. Martin and his family are foster carers. They live in West Sussex. " He coauthored a book on fostering with Andy Elvin.
