Matt Dalio "is the Founder of China Care Foundation, Inc. and president of its board of directors. His passion for China began when he lived for a year in Beijing, China at the age of eleven. Even at a young age, he was able to see the difficulties suffered by many special-needs Chinese orphans, and in 2000 at the age of 16, he founded an organization that would aid in giving these children a better future. Mr. Dalio is a graduate of Harvard University." [1]

While at Harvard University, Matt Dalio and his Harvard China Care arm of the foundation were profiled in the student newspaper in March of 2004.[2]

In July of 2008, Matt Dalio was honored by One To World at its Fulbright Awards dinner for his work with China Care. "Dalio, one of just four people to receive this noteworthy honor, was selected for being an outstanding international leader in humanitarian action." [3] "The Fulbright Prize honors the largest and most significant educational and cultural exchange program in history, as well as the career and spirit of its creator, the late Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. The prize recognizes and rewards outstanding contributions toward bringing peoples, cultures, or nations to greater understanding of others." [4]
