Michael MacLeod "is Chairman and co-founder of Public Interest Data, Inc. (PIDI), a computer service bureau with offices in the Washington, DC area and Miami, Florida, specializing in fundraising data base management services for non-profit organizations. Prior to starting PIDI in 1987, Mr. MacLeod served as vice president and senior client consultant at Craver, Mathews Smith & Company, one of the nation’s leading direct mail consulting firms for non-profit advocacy organizations. For seven years at CMS he oversaw the design, implementation and analysis of fundraising strategies and program development for organizations like Amnesty International USA, Cousteau Society, Free South Africa, Natural Resources Defense Council, African Wildlife Foundation, ACLU and CARE.

"In 1979-80, Mr. MacLeod served as National Campaign Manager for Congressman John B. Anderson’s presidential campaign, prior to which he worked on Capitol Hill as Administrative Assistant and Executive Director of the House Republican Conference. Mr. MacLeod received a B.A. in International Relations from Lafayette College (1964) and an M.A. in Political Science from Georgetown University (1967). He served as a commissioned officer, U.S. Army Military Intelligence and in Vietnam (1969-70)." [1]
