The Missile Defense working group (UK) describes itself as "a network of campaigning and research organisations that are opposed to the development of a Missile Defense system and to any UK involvement in a United States or European Missile Defense system. Reversing the spread of weapons of mass destruction can only be achieved through diplomacy, arms control and progressive disarmament. A Missile Defense system would undermine all three. We lobby government, raise public awareness and concern, prepare briefings and pamphlets and host events." [1]
