"Eminent media personality, Mrinal Pande has vast experience spearheading several prominent governmental and non governmental bodies. She is India’s first woman Chief Editor of a multi-edition Hindi daily (Hindustan , Hindustan Times Group) and is former Chairman of India’s national broadcaster – Prasar Bharati. She was awarded the Padmashree in 2006 for her services in the field of journalism, the Red Ink Lifetime Achievement Award by the Mumbai Press Club in 2014, and a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Press Council of India in December 2016."[1]
