Nadia Al Alami is the Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa for Internews.

"She assumed this position in September 2004. Before coming to Internews, Ms Al Alami worked as the senior democracy advisor for Middle East with Pact. Prior to her DC experience, Ms Al Alami was a Senior Public Affairs and Program Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Jordan where she was key in implementing programs related to development and reforms.

"She brings deep regional expertise, experienced project management skills and a keen understanding of issues affecting media and civil society in the region. Her duties include managing regional offices and establishing the strategic vision for Internews projects and offices in the MENA region. She is responsible for ensuring that all program management, development, communications, and finance and administrative functions of Internews' work are carried out effectively.

"Ms Al Alami has BA degree in Mass Communications and an MA in Conflict Resolution. She is fluent in English and Arabic and in conversational French." [1]
