Nancy Mackinnon

Nancy Mackinnon "worked with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for 27 years, leaving in May 2005. She started there in 1978 with the Membership Department at the headquarters in Arlington, VA, and later became head of the department in 1982. During her tenure, membership grew from 25,000 to more than 200,000. In 1986, she moved to the California program of TNC as Director of Resources, in charge of fundraising, communications, and membership. In 1994, she became a Vice President for the organization, and started working with its fledgling Asia/Pacific program as Director of Special Projects where her focus was fundraising and institutional development with non-governmental organizations outside the U.S. Nancy has a B.A. from Brown University. She is an active volunteer, currently serving on the Boards of Vermont Institute of Natural Science and Trout Unlimited. She also serves on the Audit Committee of Island Conservation and is the immediate past president of the Board of the American Museum of Fly Fishing." [1]
