"With more than 50 years of business experience in India, Russia, and internationally, Mr. Nand Khemka has been building and leading the business activities of the Khemka family and, since the 1980s, the SUN Group.

"In addition to his direct business responsibilities, Nand Khemka is on the Board of Overseers of Columbia Business School, the Russian Prime Minister's “Foreign Investment Advisory Council” (the leading council of the top 26 foreign companies active in Russia today) and was invited to join the “Foreign Business Leaders' Council” at the World Economic Forum in Davos. He is the former Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Iceland in India. The Government of Iceland has honoured him with the Knight's Order of the Falcon.

"Nand Khemka has been on the executive committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, where he continues to play an active role as Chairman of the Indo-Russian Joint Business Council. In 2008 Nand Khemka became the first Indian businessman to receive the Order of Friendship of the Russian Federation, which was conferred on him through President Dmitry Medvedev’s decree in recognition of Nand Khemka’s “significant contribution to the development of Russian – Indian relations…”
