Biographical Information

"Nick Smith won Blaenau Gwent back for Labour in 2010 with the biggest swing in the country of 29 per cent. Nick is parliamentary private secretary to Douglas Alexander MP, shadow foreign secretary, and is a member of the public accounts select committee. Nick has previously been a Labour organiser, the director of policy and partnerships at the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, secretary general of the European parliamentary Labour party, campaign manager with the NSPCC and head of membership development with the Labour party."[1]
