Paul Heelas, Professor in Religion and Modernity at Lancaster University.

"I am especially interested in exploring 'spiritualities of life' (and theistic spiritualities within mainstream forms of religion) in connection with: (a) major cultural developments in 'western' settings, including the turn to the self which emphasises the quality of subjective-life by way of both autonomy and relationality; and, more specifically, (b) the development of spirituality within subjective wellbeing culture, soft capitalism, and educational and health services."
