Paul M. Wythes
Mr. Paul M. Wythes "is the Founder and Special Limited Partner at Sutter Hill Ventures. Prior to founding the firm, he worked at Beckman Instruments and Honeywell where Mr. Wythes held various technical marketing and sales positions. During his 40 years in venture capital, all with Sutter Hill Ventures, Mr. Wythes led many of the firm’s investments. He has served on over 27 Boards. Mr. Wythes has been an Overseer Board Member of the Hoover Institution at Stanford for 12 years. He is a Director of the T. Rowe Price Mutual Fund Complex for over 22 years. Mr. Wythes is an Emeritus Director of the Stanford University DAPER Investment Fund. He is a Member of Investment Committee of California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco and previously served as a Director. Mr. Wythes is a Trustee of Princeton University since the last 14 years, where he served as the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee and Clerk of the Board. Mr. Wythes was a Founding Director of the National Venture Capital Association. He was the President and Director of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists. Mr. Wythes was a Director at the California Academy of Sciences. He was a Member of the Advisory Council at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mr. Wythes was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Menlo School and College in Atherton, California. He is the recipient of the National Venture Capital Association's Lifetime Achievement Award, the U.S. Naval Supply Corps Distinguished Alumnus Award, and accepted the Dow Jones Equity Hall of Fame Award given to Sutter Hill as the Outstanding Venture Capital Firm for 2006. Mr. Wythes has also been recognized in numerous venture capital articles and books including, Done Deals: Venture Capitalists Tell Their Stories, and in a recent oral history of the venture capital industry. He is a graduate of Princeton University, where Mr. Wythes received a B.S.E. degree in 1955 and received an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1959."
