Paula Clapp "co-founded Global Partnerships in 1994 with her husband, Bill Clapp, to promote economic opportunity for the poor in Latin America. In addition to her work with Global Partnerships, Paula is an active member of the Seattle community. She is a founding member of the Washington Women's Foundation. Paula currently serves on the boards of The Medina Foundation and Laird Norton Co., LLC nominating committee, and Women’s Funding Alliance Honorary Committee. She is a Vestry member of St. Mark’s Cathedral, and the Vice President of the Seattle International Foundation. Paula also holds a master’s degree in counseling and has worked as a middle school counselor at Zion Preparatory Academy, and has volunteered as a recreational therapist at Children’s Hospital in Seattle. Paula dedicates her time and energy to advocate for global poverty alleviation and to educate the community about the success of microcredit lending to eliminate poverty. She is the proud grandmother of Cyrus, Darioush and Evelyn Clapp."
