Biographical Information

"Born and educated in Yorkshire, Peter has worked in the agricultural Industry all his working life; he signed Cornwall Farmers Ltd (CFL) as a John Deere dealer in 1969 and joined CFL in 1974 as Machinery Manager, progressing to Chief Executive of the £55 million Agricultural Supply Co-operative in 1990. He retired in 2003 but continues his involvement in Cornish agriculture as Chair of the Cornwall and IoS Implementation Group for the Rural Development Programme for England and other councils and boards in the land-based sector. Peter is a member of the Programme Monitoring Committee for the Convergence Programme for Cornwall and the IoS.

"He is involved with a number of other organisations including non- executive directorships of the Eden Project and Isles of Scilly Steamship Company. Married with two grown up children, Peter is interested in restoring classic cars, gardening and travelling. Peter was appointed to the Board in May 2008 and is a member of the Audit Committee and Duchy College Council."[1]
