Mr. Philip M. Baum "is the Chief Executive Officer at Anglo Ferrous Metals and Industries. He is also the Chief Executive Officer, Ferrous Metals and Industries Division at Anglo American PLC since October 2003. Mr. Baum joined Anglo American in 1979 and has worked in a variety of positions. Mr. Baum headed the Anglo American and De Beers Small and Medium Enterprise Initiative, and was Secretary to the Executive Committee and the former Chairman's Personal Assistant. In 1991 he was appointed an Alternate Director, and in 1997 an Executive Director at the Anglo American Corporation. From 1996 to 2001, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Anglo American Zimbabwe. In March 2001, Mr. Baum was appointed Chief Operating Officer at Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Limited. He has been an Executive Director at Tongaat Hulett Group Ltd. since 2003. In addition, he is a Non-Executive Director of Business Partners Limited. Mr. Baum served in this capacity initially from March 3, 1994 until August 30, 2001 and was re-appointed on January 15, 2002. Mr. Baum has been a Member of Board of Directors of Terra Industries Inc. since December 18, 2003. Mr. Baum earned B. Com and LL.B degrees and a Higher Diploma in Tax Law at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. " [1]
