Between December 1 and 12, 2008 the Polish government hosted the the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change's (UNFCCC) COP14 conference in Poznan. The conference sought to lay the groundwork for the development of a successor agreement to the Kyoto Protocol. See COP14 Day By Day Developments for a brief summary of what happened.
