Rama Joyti Vernon "was WOVA's Founder and served as president for six years. She is the Founder and President of the American Yoga College, and the Co-Founder and President of the Center for International Dialogue. During the 1980's she traveled to the Soviet Union forty-seven times in seven years organizing over two hundred Soviet-American programs. In 1995, she led the Women of Vision delegation to the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China." [1] Her partner was Max Lafser.
