"Ravi Singh started his career as a Lecturer in the History Department of Bhagat Singh College under Delhi University. His career then took a turn after he joined The Standard Chartered Bank in 1976 and later the Deutsche Bank in 1985. His professional achievements in the corporate sector are many, but if there’s one thing everybody would unanimously agree on about Shri Singh, it is his abiding interest in the conservation of nature. He has been involved in conservation related issues since 1976 and has been a member of several conservation organizations, which included WWF and the BNHS. He was the Vice-President of The Himalayan Club and a founding member of the Eco-Tourism Society of India. Today as the Secretary General and CEO of WWF India, the country’s largest conservation organization, Shri Singh participates in several national and international conventions that cover biodiversity, sustainability and reduction of human footprint."
