Richard Eisendorf Senior Program Manager, Middle East and North Africa for Freedom House.

"A specialist in international media and peacebuilding with over 15 years experience in the Middle East, Mr. Eisendorf was Washington Director and Director of Middle East Media Programs for Search for Common Ground from 1991 to 2001, after which he founded International Media, Development, Peacebuilding Consulting. Mr. Eisendorf designed projects in the Middle East that built trust among conflicting parties, coordinated roundtable working groups of leading editors, broadcast executives, and opinion leaders from across the Middle East, advised on the establishment of a private commercial TV channel in the region, designed production of a daily Arabic/English-language satellite newswire, and launched an international awards program. He joined Freedom House after returning from Baghdad, where he served as Chief of Party for the International Resource Group, an institutional contractor to USAID/Iraq and as Public Affairs Officer for USAID/Iraq."
