Robert A Kapp "is president of Robert A Kapp & Associates, Inc, which provides consulting services to organisations seeking to develop their productive engagements with China. Dr Kapp received his PhD in modern Chinese history from Yale University and has been a frequent visitor to China since the late 1970s. He is Senior China Advisor to Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis LLP and chairs the China Committee of the Pacific Council on International Policy. He sits on the Advisory Board of The China Economic Quarterly, is a director of the Wilton Park (USA) Foundation and a member of the Executive Board of the US-China Policy Foundation. He edited The Journal of Asian Studies from 1978 to 1980. From April 1994 to November 2004, Dr Kapp served as president of The US-China Business Council. He was also the initiator of The US-China Legal Cooperation Fund." [1]
