Biographical Information

"Robert J. Finocchio has been a director since December 2011 and is a member of Broadcom's Audit Committee. Finocchio has more than 30 years of operating experience in software, Internet and infrastructure markets. Since 2000, he has been the Dean's Executive Professor of Management at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business. He currently is chair of the university's board of trustees. From 1997 until 1999, Finocchio was chief executive officer and chairman of Informix Corporation, an enterprise database software company, and chairman of the board from 1999 to 2000. From December 1988 until May 1997, Finocchio served in various positions at 3Com Corporation, a global data networking company, including as president of 3Com Systems. Prior to 3Com, Finocchio held a number of executive positions with ROLM Corporation. Finocchio currently serves on the board of Echelon Corporation. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in economics from Santa Clara University."[1]
