Biographical Information

Joining the Board of the Bank Workers Charity "in 2011, Roger is one of our relatively new trustees. As a well known figure in the City, Roger took on the role of Lord Mayor of London in November 2012. Before this he was UK Country Manager of Skandinaviska Enskilda Bank (SEB), having started his career there in 1982, it saw him take on a number of roles both in the UK and abroad. A man who likes to keep busy, in the past Roger was also Chairman of the Association of Foreign Banks and his passion for music and the arts sees him as trustee and Chairman of a number of arts organisations close to his heart." "Roger Joined Enskilda Securities (Skandinaviska Enskilda Bank) in 1982 and is now UK Country Manager of SEB. Previously he headed the Bank’s operations in Tokyo 1994 – 2000 and was Chairman of the Association of Foreign Banks 2007 – 2011.

"Roger was elected as Alderman for the Ward of Cordwainer in the City of London in 2004. He is a Liveryman of the Musicians and the International Bankers (Master 2010-11); trustee of the Bank Workers Charity and Sheriff of the City of London 2008/9. Roger is Interested in promoting the creative industries as the UK’s most important sector after financial services. Trustee of St Paul's Cathedral Foundation, St Paul’s Cathedral Choir School Foundation and King Edward’s School Witley; chairman of the English Chamber Orchestra & Music Society and The Tenebrae Choir, among other arts involvements."
