Ron Smith "brings RES more than 26 years of extensive, broad-based business and management experience with Intel Corporation.

"Prior to his retirement from Intel, his role as senior vice president and general manager of Intel’s Wireless Communications and Computing Group was responsible for Flash Memories, the XScale™ Microprocessor, and Cellular Communications Chipsets. Mr. Smith also held several senior positions within various Intel multi-billion dollar business units, including general manager of the PC chipset division. Mr. Smith served as the Chairman of the Technology Strategy Committee of the Semiconductor Industry Association for 4 years prior to his retirement from Intel.

"He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Physics from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. degree in Physics from Gettysburg College." [1]
