Funding

In 1995 they received a $5,000 from the Rights and Democracy for: "Early on in the crisis in Rwanda, members of the ADL, like other members of human rights organizations, were brutally murdered. The Vice President of the ADL, Ms. Monique Mujawamaliya, managed to flee Rwanda to take refuge in Canada. In 1994, they received a grant from the NED via the International Human Rights Law Group for $18,000 "to support the reestablishment of the Association Rwandaise pour la D‚fense des Droits de la Personne et des Libert‚s Publiques and to enable it to conduct inquiries into the genocide in Rwanda, document human rights abuses, and develop strategies to encourage repatriation, greater human rights protections, and fair conduct of the war crimes tribunal."
