Saghir Alam "is a leading expert in Human Rights and Diversity Issues and Specialist in the area of Multiple Identities and advises number of Central Government Departments. He was appointed to the Statutory Committee of The Equalities and Human Rights Commission in September 2007. He is a Member of Whitehall Independent Living Scrutiny Group. He is a Member of Equality 2025. He has legal and business background.
