Biographical Information

As Head of Strategy, Simon manages Shaftesbury Partnership's "early stage portfolio, coordinating ventures from concept through business design. He holds an MBA (with Distinction) from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where he specialised in venture capital and social entrepreneurship and investment. He created and chaired a social investment network for the business school, and led a team to victory in the international Sustainable Venture Capital Investment Competition – which involved detailed evaluation of social and sustainable ventures.

"Simon’s early career was through Teach First, where he was a member of the inaugural cohort in 2003, and he subsequently spent 5 years working with disadvantaged youth as a teacher in inner city London secondary schools. In addition to his MBA, Simon has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Leeds." [1]
