Biographical Information
"As President of Stiefel, a GSK company, Simon is responsible for leading our global dermatology business. He began his career with GlaxoSmithKline in 1986 and worked in a variety of marketing, sales and business development roles in the United Kingdom. He then spent two years in Global Commercial Strategy where he worked on the respiratory franchise.
"In 1997, Simon moved to the United States where he worked for seven years in a series of increasingly senior roles in US Pharmaceuticals culminating in Vice-President, Respiratory Marketing. He took on the role of Vice-President and General Manager, GSK Denmark in 2004 where he had overall responsibility for the pharmaceuticals business. During this time, Simon also served on the Board of the Danish Pharmaceutical Industry Association.
Returning to the UK in 2007, Simon was appointed Vice-President, Primary Care, Pharmaceuticals UK and in 2008 became Senior Vice-President and General Manager of GSK’s business operations in the UK. Simon served as President of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) from 2010-2012."[1]
