Soros Private Equity Partners (SPEP) "is the $3.0 billion private equity investment arm of Soros Private Funds Management. SPEP has a broad mandate to finance and build growth companies in the U.S. and Europe, with an industry emphasis on healthcare, technology, consumer, media and financial services. Notable investments by Soros include Jetblue Airways, Integra Life Sciences, and Wellcare HMO. SPEP has also co-sponsored the formation of Perseus Soros Biopharmaceutical Fund, LP, a $450 million fund." [1]

"Senior professionals of Soros Private Equity have formed a new firm, TowerBrook Capital Partners. The former co-heads of Soros Private Equity Neal Moszkowski and Ramez Sousou are the co-CEOs of the newly formed firm.

"Sousou is based in the London office. Prior to Soros he was a member of the Principal Investment Area of Goldman Sachs in New York and London.

"Moszkowski is based in the New York office. Before joining Soros, Moszkowski was also a member of the Principal Investment Area of Goldman Sachs in New York and London.

"Other former Soros employees who now work for TowerBrook include Patrick Smulders, a former partner at Soros Private Equity and now a senior managing director at TowerBrook and Jonathan Bilzin, also a former partner at Soros Private Equity and now a managing director at TowerBrook." [2]
