"Stuart Lawson was appointed to the RBCC Board of Directors in July 2013. Mr Lawson is Executive Director, Russia & CIS, Ernst & Young. He is also Head of the UK Business Centre and a senior adviser for financial institutions and government initiatives in Russia and CIS for Ernst & Young.

"Before joining Ersnt & Young in 2011, Mr Lawson spent 16 years as CEO/Chairman of 4 banks in Russia, beginning in 1995 when he joined Citibank Russia as the bank’s President. In 2000 he became the First Senior Advisor and subsequently Chairman of DeltaBank. After working briefly as a Director of Menatep Trust Bank in 2003, Mr Lawson became the first foreign executive chairman of a Russian owned bank, Bank Soyuz, in 2004. Mr Lawson was CEO of HSBC Russia from March 2008 to June 2010, during which time the bank launched both retail and private banking.

"Mr Lawson was named ‘Russian Banker of the Year’ by the Russian Ministry of Finance, Central Bank, Banks Association and Audit Chamber from 2005 to 2009. He is a visiting lecturer at Skolkovo School of Management, MGIMO Higher School of Economics and Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
