Talk:Dianetics

The additional information is mostly fluff, and the added external links are innocously added without noting whether they're "positive" (and they most certainly are) despite this contributors insistence in the Hubbard entry of listing things as "Negative" or "Positive". If you want to add them, then you have to be consistent and label them as positive or otherwise affiliated directly with the Church, as most of them are.

Moreover, the rest of the information, like stated above, is basically a fluff piece. It speaks of Dianetics as a science, a disingenous term at best, since little if any actual hard scientific tests have ever been conducted with Dianetics. More over, the author discludes and ignores the less convenient areas Dianetics was amazingly wrong in, particuarly on issue of radiation and whether or not Dianetics can cure it, etc etc (Hubbard wrote a number of books as well as speech tapes dealing with the subject of radiation poisoning...this despite the fact that he had little to no formal knowledge of science).

I have the strange feeling these modifications are an attempt by someone to dead agent the entries(dead agenting being a term used to describe attacks from Scientology proponents towards anyone, or anything that criticizes the Church). If it is confirmed that this is the case, I will protect the pages.
