Talk:Lani Kass

I have removed the references to national security officials being concerned about Dr. Kass' role, given her Israeli background. Pending confirmation of a source, this appears to be the opinion of the poster. She is now an American citizen [see her testimony before Congress, February 3,2004 at www.iwar.org.uk/homesec/resources/counterterrorism/testimony1Kass.pdf] and presumably had to pass standard security clearances to achieve her current positions. If the claim of concern were valid, this would be a highly unlikely event, especially in the wake of Jonathan Pollard.

I have similar removed the references to Jonathan Pollard. This is an ad hominem attack on Dr. Kass unless a connection to Pollard's activities can be established.

I have removed the distinction drawn between Soviet Union and Russian in the name of the research center as a non sequitur. Both Harvard and Columbia Universities had "Russian Research Centers" throughout the Cold War. The point is meaningless unless a further explanation is provided.

I have changed the reference from the "Dick Cheney Department of Defense" to "the Department of Defense under Dick Cheney" to conform to the later references to William Cohen and Donald Rumsfeld.

I have left intact the reference to the USAF Cyberspace Command having authority "to launch wars in cyberspace" because it is sourced, but raise the question if Wayne Madsden of Yahoo Groups has access to or knowledge of USAF planning and command authority, or is this his opinion?

Edit note

I reverted changes to the article made by User:Dwreath‎ for two reasons. From what I can see the name is "Air Force Cyberspace Command" not "Air Force Cyberspace Study Group" and the other change was to make a change to the text of a quote from the reference article.--Bob Burton 21:00, 3 August 2009 (EDT)
