"“How can you be so gullible?” Dr. Deisher remembers being called to task by a research associate in the late-1990s after she nearly purchased material that she was told came from miscarriages. It would have certainly been convenient for her work to acquire a human heart cell line, but this comment gave her pause. That pause grew to an investigative curiosity which eventually led her to confirm that this material came from electively aborted babies. As this research material became ever more pervasive and after years of suggesting that someone should do something about this practice, she felt the calling to establish her non-profit research company Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute. As an organization, it is committed not to use materials that commoditize human beings. But has the research for life-saving medical products and procedures suffered? On the contrary, Dr. Deisher lends hope with her continuing research into the moral alternatives. Having worked in a lab since she was thirteen, she is a molecular and cellular physiologist and a Stanford graduate. After graduate school, she spent her career in commercial biotechnology working for some of the largest and most successful companies in the industry including Genentech, Immunix, and Amgen. " [1]

"Most recently, Dr. Deisher served as Vice President of Research and Development for Cellcyte Genetics Corporation, a post she held until October 2007 prior to founding AVM Biotechnology and Sound Choice Pharmaceutical Institute. " [1]
