Together Foundation for Global Unity was founded in 1989, by Ella Cisneros.

From 1996: "The Together Foundation is a non-profit computer information and networking services company. It was established in 1989 by its principal benefactors, Ella and Oswaldo Cisneros. It is chartered in the United States as a 501 (c) (3) private, non-profit, operating foundation. The Foundation's Board of Directors and Advisors include members of the business, non-profit and diplomatic communities of thirteen nations." [1]

"In June of 1992, the Together Foundation unveiled a beta version of TogetherNet at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (the "Earth Summit" or "Rio Summit"). The TogetherNet pavilion hosted an estimated 15,000 visitors from around the world during the two-week conference. Feedback from Earth Summit resulted in significant improvements to the TogetherNet system. The testing phase of TogetherNet was completed in early 1994, and has been available to the public worldwide since April of 1994. " [1]
