Tom Henfrey

Biographical Information

"Tom Henfrey is a researcher at the Schumacher Institute for Sustainable Systems in Bristol, UK. He has been active in Transition since 2008, first in Durham and more recently in Bristol. He previously did PhD research on indigenous forest use in Guyana, lived in an ecovillage in southern Spain, and worked in the Anthropology Department at Durham University. He helped found and co-coordinates the Transition Research Network, is an active member of the UK Permaculture Association's Research Advisory Board, is an apprentice permaculture designer, and is planting a forest garden on his Bristol allotment."[1]
