Biographical Information

"Tony joined in the Trust as Chairman in January 2012. He was previously the Chairman of NHS Sheffield and also the Chairman of South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cluster of NHS Primary Care Trusts. As well as his NHS experience, Tony brings extensive management and operational experience in a variety of business organisations and markets. He was previously Chief Executive of Corus plc."[1]

"Tony Pedder’s working life has been in the metals industry. He has spent over 30 years in a wide range of roles with British Steel/Corus plc, including a period in charge of all procurement which covered among other things, all raw materials, alloys and metals for carbon and stainless steelmaking. He retired from the position of Chief Executive of Corus in 2003. Tony retains a very active involvement in the industry today as Chairman of Sheffield Forgemasters and a non-executive director of the Indian steelmaker, JSW Steel Ltd. He is also a director of a number of other organisations. Tony joined HCF as a senior adviser in 2005 and joined the Board in 2006." [2]
