UniQuest "is widely recognised as Australia’s largest and most successful university commercialisation group. Established by The University of Queensland (UQ) in 1984, UniQuest fosters links between the University – with its valuable emerging technologies, expertise and facilities – and the financial and entrepreneurial resources of industry, business and government.

"The company encompasses a diversity of business operations and engages with a wide range of clients and partners. Services provided by UniQuest vary from packaging and marketing university technology for investors, licensees and potential partners, to designing and implementing aid projects for clients such as the World Bank (winning the 2003 Queensland Premier's Export Award for its services). In addition, the company also provides industry with access to more than 1200 researchers registered on its consultant database and manage research and development contracts.

"Internationally, UniQuest’s key performance metrics place it among the World’s top 10 per cent. These metrics include forming more than 50 companies and licensing in excess of 200 products to industry. (More than 85 per cent of UniQuest’s companies remain active; its share portfolio is conservatively valued at $38 million; and estimated annual sales resulting from industry licenses exceed $8.5 billion.)

"UniQuest manages the commercialisation portfolios of UQ, the University of Wollongong, and the Mater Medical Research Institute." [1]
