Hi Amy, welcome to SourceWatch. I noticed that on several pages you have edited that you have deleted both narrative material and the names of (presumably former) staff. The protocol at SourceWatch is that if you makes substantive changes, such as deleting narrative material, you should post an explanatory note on the associated 'talk page (accessed by clicking the 'discussion' tab). Also, our practice is to list former staff in a section for "former staff" rather than simply delete them from the page. If you have any queries, feel free to drop me a line. --Bob Burton 20:53, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Bob, I'm sorry for the confusion. I'll go back and fix it! Amy Bauer 21:12, 4 December 2007 (EST)
Done! I'll check the others just in case, but I think I fixed everything you were talking about! :) Amy Bauer 21:12, 4 December 2007 (EST)
no problems and thanks for doing that. --Bob Burton 21:15, 4 December 2007 (EST)
It's kinda fun! I've used SourceWatch for a long time, but I've never edited before. But I was home sick today and didn't have anything better to do except sneeze. :) Amy Bauer 21:18, 4 December 2007 (EST)
get well - I should have explained the reason for posting a brief note on any substantive deletions. As pages are usually built by a number of people, a note on the talk page allows others to follow the reason for changes and decide whether it was fair or needs further modification. Otherwise, unexplained deletions can be viewed as unjustified and reverted. So it is easier to post a brief explanatory note at the outset. --Bob Burton 21:25, 4 December 2007 (EST)

References

Hi Amy, one thing that would make my job a little easier is that if instead of simply using the [url] as the reference you included the full reference (see the help page on References). Yes I know, we have plenty of pages using the old system, but we are gradually upgrading them and it is best that new material is to the full reference standard. With thanks, --Bob Burton 06:26, 6 December 2007 (EST)

Bob, what a great idea! I didn't even know this existed! If I get some time, I'll help you not just on the articles I've been working on but on any others I can. Cheers! --Amy Bauer 01:24, 7 December 2007 (EST)
Bob, I'm sorry I haven't done the references yet. i stayed sick, and then had to go back to work. :-( I'll try to do some over the holiday. :-) --Amy Bauer 00:11, 18 December 2007 (EST)
