In March 2011 it was reported that: "The donor and fundraiser told the Standard she has given £200 million to British charities and £200 million to good causes in Israel since inheriting her father's fortune 32 years ago. The news came on the day she made an astonishing £8.3 million donation to British arts organisations - including £2.5 million to Tate Britain, £2.5 million to the National Theatre, £1 million to the Royal Shakespeare Company and £500,000 for Kensington Palace. A number of other arts institutions will benefit, including the Donmar Warehouse and the new Turner Contemporary gallery in Margate." [1]

She was formerly married to financier John Duffield. [1] In 2005 she separated from her partner of 32 years, Sir Jocelyn Stevens.
