Why not wait until you're 18 before you decide whether or not you want to smoke?

This is a sample of a previous tobacco industry "anti-smoking" campaign aimed at youth.

It contains a photograph of the rear end of a car and a picture of an opened package of cigarettes with the cigarettes sticking out and says, "If you're not old enough to drive, you're not old enough to smoke. Why not wait until you're 18 before you decide whether or not you want to smoke?"

It appears to be a "finger-wagging" ad that says "you're not old enough for this." It essentially taunts kids by linking smoking with the adult ritual of gaining independence by starting to drive. Ad is from Hong Kong.
