"Willie became a non-executive director of Business Stream on 1 June 2012. Willie has had a distinguished career, most recently as an advisor to utilities organisations in Europe and Africa. While at Scottish Power, Willie held a number of senior positions. Latterly he was the director of energy retail and a member of the executive team. He successfully led the division through the deregulation of the energy markets and delivered the major integration and change management plans following the company’s acquisition by Iberdrola. Having joined the energy firm in 1990, he left in 2009 to become chief operating officer with FTSE 250 energy services company Eaga plc, which quickly established itself as a leading player in the green energy market before its acquisition by Carillion. From 2007 to 2009 Willie was chairman of the Energy Retail Association. Willie has also gained UK Government relations experience, spearheading the Warm Front programme at Eaga as well as the BBC Digital rollout. Currently working as Interim CEO at Barchester Healthcare. This privately owned business has 210 multi disciplinary care homes in the UK with 11000 residents and 17000 staff." [1]
