Yossi I. Abramowitz "is a recognized leader in educational innovation and the World Wide Web, an expert on the Jewish youth market, a best-selling author, award-winning journalist and creator of dynamic new programs and institutions. A recipient of the 2004 Covenant Award, Yossi was recognized for his outstanding contribution to the transmission of Jewish knowledge, values, and identity. The youngest of the Forward Top 50 Leaders, Yossi was hailed by Moment Magazine as "the most influential Jewish student leader of the 1980s." Yossi served as a member at the World Jewish Congress Executive as chairperson of the World Union of Jewish Students. In this position he coordinated and nurtured educational and activist projects in 40 countries, raised and managed more than $2 million, and represented Jewish student interests to governments and the United Nations. Yossi is a Wexner Graduate Fellow alumnus with degrees in Jewish Public Policy from Boston University and Journalism from Columbia University. A veteran of the Israel Defense Forces, Yossi has lectured in 20 countries and 25 states, and is President of UCSJ: Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union." [1]
