"I am a classical chinese acupuncturist specialising in reproductive health with an academic background in social anthropology. I first discovered oriental medicine whilst working for the Department of Environment of the Tibetan government in exile in Dharamsala, India. I later spent time doing fieldwork on the border of Mustang in Nepal where I learned the medicinal practices of the local Bonpo Lama. I studied Chinese Medicine at the CENAC Institute in Barcelona where I lived for 13 years. My teachers were Chinese. I then practised at the Shen Dao Institute as a specialist in fertility and pregnancy and at the same time undertook post graduate courses in the Taoist arts including Qi Gong , Feng Shui and Yang Sheng practice’s. "After the birth of my son I trained as a HypnoBirthing educator. I run courses in this wonderful method of birth preparation in Totnes, Barcelona and the Balearic Islands. I currently practise acupunture at the Arcturus clinic in Totnes and Dartington Space in Dartington. I frequently work with women struggling with menstrual cycle problems, pregnancy related conditions and menopausal discomfort. I also work with men and women who are trying to conceive and I offer birth preparation acupuncture programs. I live very happily on the beautiful Dartington Hall estate with my young son . I am passionate about painting, Qi gong and 5 Rhythms dance.
