Mark Thorne is the worldwide chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Hill & Knowlton and and a member of the firm's Worldwide Executive Committee. ^[1]

A biogrpahical note states that "prior to joining Hill & Knowlton, he was with WPP Group, Hill & Knowlton's parent company, as chief financial officer of WPP's North American operations. Before Mr. Thorne's employment with WPP, he served as chief financial officer of Beatrice International Food Company. He also spent ten years with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, serving diverse clients including The New York Times, Union Pacific Corporation and Chanel International. Mr. Thorne obtained his MBA in finance from New York University." ^[2]
