I'm relocating this par from the article page for a couple of rewasons: a) we can do better than sourcing something to Wikipedia b) the preamble is a little superfluous but the key points about the ACU and the NTU should be updated and incorporated into a reworked into a better referenced version of the subsequrnt par.

For example the Wikipedia link referes to the ACU's 2003 endorsement of Ensign. We should aim for the most recent ACU listing which seems to be 2005 at http://www.conservative.org/pressroom/2006/0604052pr.asp I'm out of time to do more on this tonight. If no one has done it before I get back online tomorrow, I'll rework it then. --Bob Burton 07:27, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

John Ensign is a conservative Senator from the State of Nevada. As a fiscally responsible member of the Senate Ensign has gained the respect of several groups, in 2003 the American Conservative Union chose Ensign, Hagel and Nickles as the most Conservative Senators in America. The National Taxpayers Union congradulated Ensign and Kyl naming them the "most taxpayer-friendly" Senators in 2004. [1]
