Hello and welcome to SourceWatch.

Regarding your edits to the Edward J. Lynch article, I have reverted them because they weren't referenced and read as though the text had been copied directly from his position statements. Please note that SourceWatch articles should be in news-style writing (see SourceWatch:Contributing) and all information must be referenced (see SourceWatch:References).

thanks,

With regards to the Edward J. Lynch page I would have the following comments.

I understand your comments regarding listing them as a news article and will make the appropriate modiciations. However I am in extreme disagreement as to any portion that was modified other than the postions portions. All portions were referenced included the 2010 election referenced to the State of Florida Elections Office. His community involvment was referenced clearly to the organization in which he was listed as a Board of Directors. I have read the portions on how to reference and if this was incorrect then I would have to request what the proper way would be. To that end I would note the current article is referenced a NONEXISTANT website so to remove my corrections to fix a reference to the new and working link was improper.

Tim

thanks

Hello again,

Thanks for your response. I have revisited the Lynch page, and added back in the updated refs and 2010 election info you had added. I apologize for missing that, but the other problematic material was so extensive it overshadowed it.

Please do take a look at SourceWatch:References for details on how to reference material properly. Presently, many of the references are incomplete, and it would be great if you could correct them.

Also, please feel free to add info on his positions, as long as it is in news-style writing, and not copied from the candidate's materials. You can quote from the materials, of course, but most of the text added to SourceWatch should concisely and objectively summarize his positions.

thanks,
