Partners for Democratic Change (Partners), based in Washington, DC, "is an international organization committed to building sustainable local capacity to advance civil society and a culture of change and conflict management worldwide." [1]

"Since 1989, Partners has developed vital change and conflict management skills and processes, facilitated the resolution of disputes, and built consensus on local issues in over 50 countries. Partners’ local and transnational initiatives strengthen citizen participation, good governance, the empowerment of disadvantaged groups, and the rule of law. As a result, thousands of individuals have benefited from new housing, educational and employment opportunities for minorities, revamped taxation systems and public services, new leadership positions for women and youth, decreased pollution, increased public safety and other community improvements.
"Partners builds the capacity of local institutions to promote democratic, participatory change and develops locally staffed and managed Centers for Change & Conflict Management, currently located in Albania, Argentina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Jordan, Kosovo, Mexico, Peru, Poland, Romania and Slovakia."
